In this workshop we’ll create a piece of jewellery using hand made paper beads.

First we’ll decorate the paper that we’ll make the beads with. We’ll use a fun acrylic paint technique to create the background paper, and then add words or phrases that have a personal meaning to the paper. This paper will then be cut up to make the beads.

Once the beads have been made and dried, it’s time to start assembling the jewellery, using both our hand made paper beads and some more conventional beads as well!

The finished jewellery piece will be a lovely way to carry those personal words around with you.

This workshop is suitable for beginners. All materials are provided, just bring yourself! As we’ll be using plenty of paint and glue in this workshop, please either wear an apron or old clothes. Of course, tea and coffee and cake will be provided too.

Workshops will take place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham.
