Exploring triquetras workshop

Upcoming date:
Saturday, 14 March 2026, 1pm to 4pm
3 hour workshop, £35 per person

This workshop is for those who have learned basic Celtic knotwork drawing with me before, and who would like to expand their practice.

We’ll explore drawing the Celtic knotwork triquetra, first starting off by learning how to draw it with a pair of compasses, and then moving on to drawing freehand.

We’ll then move on to creating interlocking triquetras, forming 4-fold and 6-fold motifs, using the freehand drawing method. See the photos for some examples.

All tools and materials for use on the workshop are provided, just bring yourself! Of course, hot drinks and light refreshments will be provided too.

This workshop needs at least two people booked on it in order to go ahead.

Workshops will take place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham.
(Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.)
