Found poetry workshop
This workshop can be booked on demand for a group of 2 to 4 people in my workshop, or for larger groups, such as art and craft groups, at your own venue. 2 hour workshop, £28 per person. Please contact me to arrange a date.
Found poetry is the art of taking a piece of text, and searching for a poem within.
It is a really relaxing project and even if everyone starts with the same piece of text, everyone will come out with a different poem and will illustrate it in their own style, making each piece unique. The poems tend to be a reflection of yourself at the time of creating it.
Once we have found our piece of poetry within the page of text, we’ll use paints and collage to illustrate the poem directly on the page. I will provide you with the pages of text and materials to have a play, and I will be there for guidance.
All materials will be provided.
About the workshop space:
The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention. This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.
Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.
Hot drinks and cake will be served during the workshop, please let me know of any dietary requirements when you book.
