Gel-printed accordion book workshop
Upcoming date:
Wednesday 9th September, 1pm to 3pm
2 hour workshop, £25 per person
Venue: Crafts for Wellbeing studio, Stanley
Learn some simple gel-plate printing techniques and use the papers to create an accordion fold book.
This workshop is an introduction to gel-plate printing where you will create an A6 (10.5cm x 15cm) accordion book with gel-printed covers.
Using simple gel-printing techniques, you’ll print up a number of papers and will choose two of these to create your book covers. The others you can use to create more books at home.
Once the covers have been created and are drying, we’ll move on to folding an A2 sheet of paper into an accordion fold. We’ll then use your gel-printed papers to create book covers and will assemble the book.
The hardest part will most likely be deciding which of your beautiful gel-printed papers to use for the book!
Dress for mess and please remember your reading glasses if you need them!
About the workshop space:
The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention. This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.
Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.
Hot drinks and cake will be served during the workshop, please let me know of any dietary requirements when you book.
