Mandala drawing workshop

Upcoming workshop:
Sunday 9th November, 1pm to 4pm
3 hour workshop, £35 per person

Venue: Crafts for Wellbeing studio, Stanley

In this workshop we’ll learn how to use the geometric construction known as the ‘seed of life’ in order to create templates for creating mandalas.

Using a pair of compasses, we’ll start off with a single seed of life construction and will then move on to a ‘double seed of life’ construction. Both constructions can be used to make a variety of mandala designs.

Once we’ve constructed the base, we can then move on to working on the mandala pattern details. Drawing the pattern details generally takes several hours in itself, so you will get started on the details during the workshop, and will go home with plenty of ideas to continue the patterning at home. This is a very meditative activity and you will be able to create more mandalas using the techniques learned to continue benefitting from slowing down and drawing.

All tools and materials for the workshop are provided. Hot drinks and light refreshments will be available too.

Workshops will take place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. There are a maximum of four places on this workshop, so you will receive plenty of individual attention.

Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.

This workshop can also be booked on demand for a group of 2 to 4 people in my workshop, or for larger groups, such as art and craft groups, at your own venue. Please contact me to arrange a date.
