Learn the art of metal embossing, while creating a unique Christmas tree ornament. The decoration will be embossed on both sides.

I’ll take you through the method of transferring the design to the metal, learning the techniques of metal embossing and how to add a finish to make it look aged. You can finish your decoration with a splash of colour if you like – as it is Christmas after all!

You will leave the workshop with one ready to hang Christmas tree ornament. Designs will be supplied or you can bring along your own. If you would like to bring your own design, you’ll be working on a sheet of metal of 15cm x 15cm, so a design a couple of centimetres smaller than that will be great.

The Christmas ornament would make a wonderful hand made gift, especially if personalised for a loved one.

No experience of metal embossing is necessary, as you will be taken through all the methods to make your Christmas tree ornament.

There’s no need to bring anything; all materials for use in the workshop will be provided. As we’ll be using acrylic paint in this workshop, please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

Information for private studio workshops:

Private studio workshops take place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention.

This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.

Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.
