Metal embossed clock workshop

Upcoming workshops:
Sunday 27th April 2025, 11am to 4pm

5 hour workshop, £75 per person
Venue: Crafts for Wellbeing studio, Stanley

Create your own clock from metal.

After an introduction to the tools and materials, we’ll start off by creating a small practice piece so that you can get used to how the tools and materials work.

We’ll then move on to creating your clock design. You can bring along your own ideas, or use one of my Celtic knotwork designs. The clock is 17cm in diameter.

No experience of metal embossing is necessary, as I will take you through all the methods to make your clock. We’ll go through all the steps from creating your design, to transferring it to the metal, learning the techniques of metal embossing and finally how to finish your clock to make it look aged.

You will leave the workshop with a finished clock.

Suitable for beginners.

The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention. This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.

Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.

Hot drinks and cake will be served during the workshop, as well as a light buffet lunch. Please let me know of any dietary requirements when you book.
