On this workshop we will create a metal embossed design that will decorate a metal hanger. The metal hanger will be suitable for hanging lightweight items like keys or dog leads.

We’ll go through the process of metal embossing: applying your chosen design to the metal, learning how to gradually emboss the metal to the desired depth, and adding texture and details.

We’ll then attach the metal to the base board of the hanger and we’ll make the metal look aged to finish off the design. Finally we’ll add the hook.

I have Celtic knotwork designs that you can choose from, or you can bring your own design. The finished hanger size is 13cm x 13cm, so an image a cm or two smaller than these dimensions will work well.
