Metal embossed heart workshop

This workshop can be booked for a group of two to four in my studio, or for your art or craft group or organisation in your own venue. Please get in touch for more information.

A fun introduction to the art of metal embossing, learning how to make traditional ‘corazones mexicanos’ – Mexican hearts or sacred hearts, based on the Mexican artform of ‘milagritos’ – ‘little miracles’.

We’ll start off the workshop by working on your own heart design, which I will guide you through.

Once your design has been drawn, I will take you through the methods of metal embossing the heart. Once the metal embossing has been finished, we will decorate the heart to create an aged effect and then add colour..

The finished heart can then be used as a wall or window decoration.

This workshop is suitable for beginners.

The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention.

This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.

Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.

Hot drinks and cake will be served during the workshop, please let me know of any dietary requirements when you book.
