Metal embossed keyring workshop
Upcoming date:
Wednesday 16 September, 1pm to 3pm – SOLD OUT!
2 hour workshop, £25 per person
Venue: Crafts for Wellbeing studio, Stanley
Make two keyrings on this introductory workshop to the art of metal embossing. The keyrings will be double-sided, so you have plenty of opportunity to learn the basic methods of metal embossing.
In this introductory workshop you will learn a basic method of creating a design on metal, using really simple tools – in fact, you will be able to continue this craft at home with minimal art supplies. I’ll then take you over putting everything together to make your keyring and how to add an aged effect to the metal.
If you prefer, you can also make one (or both) of your keyrings into a pendant.
The keyrings are 5cm in diameter and 4mm thick. I will have plenty of design ideas for you to choose from, but if you would like to bring along your own design to work with, you’re very welcome to.
About the workshop space:
The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention. This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.
Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.
Hot drinks and cake will be served during the workshop, please let me know of any dietary requirements when you book.
