Messy Mini Mandalas Workshop

Upcoming workshop:
Wednesday, 23rd September, 1pm to 3pm
Two hour workshop, £25 per person

Venue: Crafts for Wellbeing studio, Stanley

This workshop can also be booked on demand for a group of 2 to 4 people in my workshop, or for larger groups, such as art and craft groups, at your own venue. Please contact me to arrange a date.

Play with paint and learn a relaxing way of doodling in this meditative workshop. A fun and mindful workshop creating bright and cheerful mandalas.

Suitable for beginners, I’ve named this workshop ‘messy’ mandalas, as the whole aim of the workshop is to have fun, and enjoy being creative, rather than creating precise mandalas.

We’ll start off by creating the coloured backgrounds for our mandalas using paints.

Whilst these are drying, I’ll take you through the process of drawing motifs and creating your mandalas. We’ll then have fun seeing where our drawings take us!

The finished mandala will be around 12cm x 12cm, suitable for putting on to a blank greetings card,

There’s no need to bring anything on the workshop, all tools and materials are provided.

About the workshop space:

The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention. This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.

Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.

Hot drinks and cake will be served during the workshop, please let me know of any dietary requirements when you book.

  • I had a lovely time, despite being late because of traffic. Carrie created a calm productive atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. I was encouraged to experiment and thoroughly enjoyed all the work we did. Great to meet new people, interesting chat with each other. I will definitely do more of her courses and recommend them to friends.

  • I had a great time on this course held in Carrie’s lovely studio with a friendly group. Carrie is an excellent teacher and explained the techniques thoroughly. All equipment was provided along with tasty refreshments. We all went home with a pretty mandala and mount, ready to frame our work. I hope to do more courses at Crafts for Wellbeing soon, and would thoroughly recommend it to others.

  • Really enjoyed doing the mindful messy mandalas course with Carrie. She explained everything we were doing step by step, and advised us if we needed it. She always makes you feel very welcome and relaxed. And she is so easy to get on with. This is the 2nd course I have done with Carrie and I am looking forward to doing another one soon.

  • This was a really fun course. I loved it. Carrie was very welcoming, extremely well prepared & provided excellent instruction & helpful handouts. As well as providing all materials to produce a mindful messy mandala, she gave us each a mount for our finished pieces & a bag she had made herself to take it home in – really nice touches. Highly recommended. I shall book other workshops.
