Making your own rubber stamps is a great way to relax, and to provide fun stamped additions to journals, artwork, zines, greetings cards, wrapping paper and more.

This artform uses really simple materials and can be easily done at home with just a craft knife and a rubber.

We’ll be working with a 6 inch x 4 inch piece of Speedball SpeedyCarve, and you can make as many rubber stamp designs as will fit onto your piece of carving material. I’ll take you through all the steps you need to transfer your designs to the carving material and how best to carve your design.

Bring along some ideas to work with or choose from my designs. All tools and materials for use on the workshop are provided.

About the workshop space:

The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention. This workshop will need at least two people booked on it to go ahead.

Please note that my home workshop is accessed by stairs.

Hot drinks and cake will be served during the workshop, please let me know of any dietary requirements when you book.
