Invitation to the Open Art Studio exhibition
Come along to the first ever Open Art Studio exhibition at The Lodge in Blackhill and Consett Park on Wednesday 3rd December, from 1pm to 3pm.
My community art group, who meet weekly, have been preparing artwork over the last year to exhibit to the public.
Work includes:
- window art based on local landmarks, history and legends
- a collaborative quilt based on the social history of Consett
- a collective piece based on the legends and folklore of Consett which was part of an art trail exhibited in Prudhoe
- video of the group’s light artwork, which was projected on to the front of The Story in Durham as part of The Illuminated Trail earlier this year
- members will also be bringing along their own art and crafts produced at home and in previous years group sessions
