Student showcase: Metal embossed coaster workshop – Grizebeck
I had a fabulous day at The Community Hall at Grizebeck on Saturday, teaching metal embossing to an enthusiastic group, as part of Highlights Rural Touring Scheme. Everyone really took to learning the techniques and they all made beautiful coasters, with some even working on their own designs, I love it when that happens! Scroll through the carousel above to see what everyone got up to.
Amazing work, everyone, I loved what you all created.
Thank you so much to everyone at The Community Hall Grizebeck for looking after us so well.
As a teenager I lived not far away from Grizebeck and it was lovely to be over there again. The icing on the cake was that one of my oldest and dearest friends, who still lives in the area, came on the workshop, together with her friend, her friend’s mum and auntie, and they turned out to know others on the workshop too. It was also lovely to see a lady return who had been on my lino printing workshop at Arnside last month.
If you’re interested in learning this technique, I’m running more workshops in conjunction with Highlights Rural Touring Scheme for the next few months. Find out more either on my workshop page or on the Highlights website. Hopefully see you on a workshop soon!
