Studio blog: Celtic cross sketchbook play

That was fun! I’m enjoying getting out of my comfort zone in this sketchbook and am playing with acrylic and watercolour paints, rather than my usual pencil work. I have so much to learn about using both of these mediums!

Anyway, I’m quite happy with this spread, which was inspired by a recent walk along the Northumberland coast from Craster to Embleton, via Dunstanburgh Castle. I look forward to smooshing some more paint around in this sketchbook and seeing what happens!
