Merry Christmas! 2023 round up

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me this year, it has been an amazing year, delivering 107 workshops both in my studio and to organisations around north east England.

As well as my studio workshops, I have also delivered workshops for Durham County Council‘s Thrive programme, Breathing Space in Witton Gilbert, Creative Calligraphy in South Shields, LaunchPad at Sacriston, Lanchester Art Group, Durham Lumiere and Newcastle Carers in Byker. A big thank you to all of these organisations for working with me this year.

Subjects that I have taught have included lino printing, Celtic knotwork, metal embossing, journal making, gelli printing, bargello embroidery, mandala drawing and much more! If you’re interested in seeing what we all got up to on these workshops, then have a look through my many student showcase posts where I share the fantastic work that my students have created.

On my artwork side, I have had my Celtic knotwork artwork exhibited in three different exhibitions this year, Prudhoe Art Trail, Durham Lumiere and Bishop Auckland Town Hall Open Exhibition, and I have also demonstrated woodblock carving at Beamish Museum for their Georgian Gathering weekend.

It’s been an amazing year, thank you so much to everyone who has supported me throughout the year and has helped to make this possible.

After this incredibly busy year I am taking a long break, and the studio is now closed until 15 January 2024. I will be back with some very exciting news after then!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!
