Studio blog: Durham Lumiere 2023

During October and November I was thrilled to work with Artichoke Trust as one of their community artists delivering community workshops to create the Flowers and Chandeliers pieces for Durham Lumiere this year. I had a fantastic time meeting people around County Durham and helping them to create the components for these pieces out of recycled milk and pop bottles.

I finally got to see everything installed and lit up in person last night and they all looked amazing!

The cherry on top was learning that my Celtic knotwork and ivy piece that I submitted as part of the Colour the Castle installation by Mr Beam was selected as one of 150 artworks to be projected on to Durham Castle! It was such a thrill and honour to see my artwork displayed on the castle.

An amazing experience all round!
