Studio blog: Inktober 2025 days 1 to 7
I am currently taking part in the annual Inktober challenge, where participants are encouraged to create a sketch using ink every day during October.
There are ‘official’ prompts given out by the organisers if you are stuck for ideas, but, as usual, I have decided to go my own way and concentrate on what I would like to draw instead.
I’m working in the remainder of the A6 size hand bound sketchbook that I used for last year’s Inktober, although I will have to add a few extra pages at the end of it to complete the project. This year I am doing purely black and white ink sketches of something during my day, in 5 minutes or less.
This week’s sketches have been a mix of home life, studio work, workshops and being out and about.
I’ve really been enjoying the process, creating these bite sized pieces is really enjoyable. I’ll update on the blog each week to show what I’ve been up to.
