Student showcase: metal embossed coasters – Armathwaite

Yesterday I had a fantastic day at Armathwaite Old School Hall as part of Highlights Rural Touring Scheme, teaching metal embossing to a lovely, enthusiastic group.

This workshop is suitable for beginners to metal embossing, and I took everyone through transferring a design to the metal, to embossing techniques and then how to add an aging technique.

As you can see from the photos above, everyone created such amazing metal embossed coasters and really took to the techniques. Such fantastic pieces of work, well done, everyone!

Thank you so much to Sue at Armathwaite Old School Hall for looking after everyone so well, I can really recommend going along and supporting this community space if you live nearby. I am running more workshops in conjunction with Highlights Rural Touring Scheme over the coming months, so please either check out their website or my listings page for more details.
