Student showcase: metal embossed hearts

I had a really fun afternoon with my weekly community workshop, where we worked on these metal embossed hearts, which are based on tradition ‘corazones mexicanos’.

As this was a two hour workshop, I drew out an initial template for everyone to work with, and showed everyone how to use this to create the basic metal embossed shape. Everyone was then free to add their own details and use whatever colours they liked to finish the heart.

I loved what everyone created and it is such a fun and relaxing technique.
