Student showcase: metal embossed hearts at The Hearth Arts Centre

I had a great morning at The Hearth Arts Centre in Horsley yesterday, delivering a metal embossed hearts workshop as part of Highlights Rural Touring.

I took everyone through making a practice piece first, before everyone moved on to designing their own heart. I then took everyone through some more techniques, and everyone began to emboss their stunning creations! As you can see from the photos, everyone really got creative and made absolutely beautiful pieces.

Fabulous work, everyone!

I’ll be delivering three more workshops as part of Highlights Rural Touring over the coming months:
Metal embossed plaques at Casterton Village Hall on 12 November and Brigsteer Village Hall on 13 February
Metal embossed Christmas ornament at Wark Town Hall and Mechanics Institute on 5 December
You can find out more about all the other great events that they deliver to venues around County Durham, Northumberland and Cumbria on their website: https://highlightsnorth.co.uk/
