Student showcase: Mindful messy mandalas with Breathing Space

On Tuesday I had a lovely afternoon at the wonderful Breathing Space in Witton Gilbert, teaching mandala drawing. I call this workshop ‘mindful messy mandalas’, as it’s all about enjoying the creative process, rather than creating precise mandalas.

We started off by creating a loose background using acrylic paints, and then we let the colours intermingle and dry out whilst I took everyone through the drawing process.

Everyone really took to the process and created such beautiful mandalas, as you can see. Everyone said they would be doodling some more once they got home, so I call that a success!

I’m delivering more workshops for Breathing Space over the summer, one on metal embossing and one on lino printing. Find out more details and book your place in my previous blog post.
