Finished artwork: Above and Below for Postcard Art Exhibit 2026

If you’ve been following me for a while, then you’ll know that I always like to take part in the Postcard Art Exhibit each year (formerly known as the Twitter Art Exhibit).. The project was originally set up 16 years ago by artist David Sandum, to raise money to buy children’s books for a library in Norway. Since then the project has expanded each year, and raises money for charities local to the exhibition venues by selling each postcard sized piece of art that is donated by artists around the world.
This year’s exhibition will take place in The Hague, Netherlands. It is curated by Dutch artist Tessa Maagdenberg, will support the Blijft-je-Bij art program at Museum Beelden aan Zee — a groundbreaking initiative for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The exhibition will be hosted at See Lab Project Space, an artist-run cultural hub just steps from the sea in The Hague’s historic artist quarter.
This year’s exhibition will take place in June, and my postcard, along with others from hundreds of artists around the world, will be available for sale at the exhibition, and then online after the exhibition ends. All sales will go towards the Blijft-je-Bij art program.
Below are some of the process pictures of creating this piece.
