Studio blog: May 2023 studio round up
A photo round up of what my hands made during May! From left to right: lots of gelli plate printed papers, of which the one shown here was my favourite; a handbag stitched using bargello embroidery, I’ll be bringing this out and about to networking events with me; a metal embossed piece of one of my simpler Celtic knots; and an in progress picture of the Celtic knotwork piece I’m working on at the moment.
I also taught thirteen workshops in May, ranging from Celtic knotwork drawing, metal embossing, gelli plate printing and journal making. And all that despite having a holiday mid-month 😄
The bargello handbag is a lovely kit that is available from Bargello-A-GoGo, and I can thoroughly recommend them. The customer service is fantastic and the kits are extremely high quality. I absolutely love my bag!
All of the gelli printing play was for an up and coming project with my community art group, which I shall tell you about a bit nearer the time to completion. My Celtic knotwork piece is destined to be exhibited in an art trail very soon.
Here’s to a productive June!
