Student showcase: Celtic knot flow

Two lovely greetings cards made by the students on my Celtic knot flow workshop yesterday.

I taught a more flowing and less technical technique of creating interlaced knotwork, which included chains, triquetras and unicursal curves. I also taught a traditional space filling technique used in medieval manuscripts in order to create the backgrounds. Both are really relaxing techniques, perfect for a bit of doodling to let the mind rest and flow.

It was a really great afternoon, with two lovely ladies, thank you both for coming along – beautiful work!

If you’re interested in learning the more technical process of creating precise Celtic knotwork, see my Introduction to Celtic knotwork drawing workshop – there’s one coming up in August!
